My Reiki student and friend, Mary Scullen, has 3 beautiful daughers: Abigail, Ashley and Mikaela. Abby and Ashley are 9 years old. Abby is quite the actress and a natural healer. Ashley is quiet but has powerful, mesmerizing eyes. Mikaela is just a little peanut of a thing, but with a lot of spunk. These 3 girls have been watching me make beaded knitted bags and asked if they could each have one. Of course! This also gives me one more reason for my beaded knitted bag insanity!
I had each girl look at a DMC thread chart (the ones that come in perle 8 cotton) so they could decide the color of their bag. I told them to pick 3 colors they liked. That way I could get an idea of what beads to use too. Abby chose primary colors of blue, yellow and red and said "you decide what kind of beads" so of course I chose a matte czech primary mix. The hand pietroglyph charm on her bag reflects her interest in healing, and the primary colors are the chakra colors. Ashley, Abby's non-identical twin, chose quiet, pastel colors for her thread. I made her a bag with a fairy on it because she is a misty, dreamy girl that sees fairies. Mikaela, with her wild sense of imagination, wanted a bag like just like my red, white and blue one. I made her a mini version with flowers on it. All 3 bags have spiral rope twist necklaces with a toggle closure. I can add an extension if needed; that way they can wear them when they grow up.
