I was inspired by the book "Beady Eyed Women's Guide to Exquisite Beadwork: A Netting Primer", by Vicki Star. This book has some really nice netting patterns.
The blue bag (below on the left) was done using a matte czech mix. The scan does not do the colors justice. There is a really great aqua color tone that is there in the real thing. It also has enough of a medium blue color to wear with my favorite jean dress.
The "Spring" bag (below on the right) was made because I wanted to try to invoke some spring and frog and a fairy energy into a beaded bag. The strap is a daisy chain...sure doesn't look like it at first glance...I jazzed it up with some larger beads. I felt that a regular fringe treatment wouldn't do, so I came up with this one-piece design.
