The pattern for this bag comes from "Beaded Amulet Purses: A Source of Instruction and Inspiration", by Nicolette Stessin. This bag was designed by Carol Wilcox Wells. Her version was done in cream tones - which is very pretty but I wanted something different. I chose purples because that is one of my favorite colors. I don't like to make exact copies of patterns, so I chose to finish my bag differently too. I only have one bottom flap on my bag and left off some extra side fringing, etc. The necklace portion is just satin cord in a silvery grey color.
This is the first time I have used Delicas for an amulet bag. I like these beads because they are so regular and they work well for geometric patterns.
