Katie Magill, a friend from the Upper Midwest Bead Society, taught me this double spiral rope twist technique at our last Bead Retreat (Spring '01). This is one of those techniques where we don't quite know who the original creator is...so we don't know who to credit...once you know such a technique exists (see it or hear about it) it becomes almost automatically known just about everywhere. If you have already done the regular spiral rope twist, you can probably figure it out just by looking at this scan. Otherwise, written directions can be found on Katie's site, Beadweaver Dreams, here
I just grabbed two colors of beads to make this bracelet, and they happened to really go well together - a light silver lined peach and a silver lined copper. The center beads are an amethyst (but look copper) tone - you can never trust a color label :)
