Drops Necklace by Rev. Susan H. Aguirre

I received an email on one of the beading listservs inviting any St. Paul or Minneapolis Beaders to a day of bead shopping. Really, I guess it was a plea for help :). Mommakat a.k.a. Katrina A. BarronMiller was coming in from Des Moines, IA, and wanted a beady tour of the Twin Cities. She said she was bead starved and wanted to drop some serious money on some beads. She offered to take the lucky person out to lunch for their "troubles"...How could I resist?!

She was already familiar with Stormcloud Trading Company (Bead Storm) because she had done some mail order through Sandi, the store's owner. I wanted her to go there anyway because (in my humble opinion) Sandi has the best selection of seed beads. We ended up spending a loooooong time there! Kat bought just about everything in the store...okay, so she really didn't but she did buy a lot there. I bought 2 tubes of beads. There I was standing at the counter in my most favorite long dress and two new bead color tubes were sitting side by side on the counter - perfectly matching my dress. They were meant just for me, right?

I am rambling a bit...I had wanted to make a necklace from Maria (Oldring) Tverdostup's site and these beads would be perfect. I brought out some peachy/pink color beads from my stash to be used for the drops portion. The instructions for this necklace are here

I hope you like this beadwork, please let me know your thoughts by Signing My Guestbook or by sending me an e-mail.

In Love, Light & Healing...
