There are many wonderful beadwork projects in the book, "Beaded Amulet Purses: A Source of Instruction and Inspiration", by Nicolette Stessin. The first project, created by Lynne Irelan and Nancy Male, inspired me to create my first amulet purse. It is a simple purse, a bargello type pattern of subtle hearts.

One day on one of the beadlist listservs the conversation turned to this heart purse and we all discovered that it had inspired many of us to try our hand at beadweaving. Unfortunately, some of the people had given their creations as a gift, so they aren't able to share their work.
