Beaded Knitted Amulet Pouch - Turquoise Bag

beaded knitted bag

This is knitted pouch for my brother's friend, Lori. She said she likes and wears a lot of turquoise. I felt kind of guilty finishing the bag portion, and I put off doing the neckpiece...you see, I had promised my brother a beadwork bracelet a loooooong time ago. I had one in the works, but ended up finishing it for my Dad. I finally decided to start (and finish!) a bracelet for Bruce. THEN I allowed myself to finish this bag.

This bag is knitted in Caron Wildflowers Thread in a blue/green mix that I think was called Fir/112. The beads are a mix of Japanese seed beads in 3 different types of turquoise, a matte green/rose and rose. I like creating my own mixes now and the Bead Spinner gadget makes it easy to string the results onto the thread. The neckpiece is done in several types of glass beads, a few turquoise chips and the seed bead mix used in the bag portion.

I hope you like this beadwork, please let me know your thoughts by Signing My Guestbook. Or by sending me an e-mail.
