This is my first beaded knitted pouch. I used DMC Pearl Cotton in black, and a Czech seed bead mix called "tuxedo" which is a mix of white, grey, black and a bit of blue. The necklace portion is just the DMC Pearl Cotton twisted to make a sort of cable. I might replace it with a nicer beaded type later.
This bag type with the triangle flap pouch knits up pretty quickly. The pattern is from the book, Bead Knitted Pendant Bags, by Theresa Williams. After I had knitted this first bag, I knew that I wanted most of the other books by Williams, so I put in an order from Julie of Blessed Beads and told her "no rush" but really, I was counting the minutes until they arrived! Needless to say, I am in a serious bead knitted bag frenzy, and this little black bag is the first of probably hundreds of more.
I hope you like this beadwork, please let me know your thoughts by Signing My Guestbook. Or by sending me an e-mail.
