My brother Vimana is a cosmic sort of fellow. I thought he would like to have an amulet bag so I decided to make one for his birthday. I had only made one peyote bag previous to this, so when I saw a masculine looking bag called "Simple Peyote Pouch" in the book "Creative Bead Jewelry", by Carol Taylor, I decided to give it a try. I did modify the design, and of course used different colors, and a different strap, and different fringe...when exactly does one call a design an original?
So finally you see here an example of real fringe!!! I bet you thought I didn't have it in me. And in case you are wondering...I didn't scan the whole strap cause it is just satin cord, but I did want to show how I tied it at the end. Next time I will use some fray check or other such thing so it doesn't get ratty at the end.
