I am a minister, as is my husband. Even though we don't have a church or congregation, we do perform wedding ceremonies together. We do this especially since there are many couples who don't belong to a particular church or religion, yet they want to have a spiritual wedding ceremony. There is a very nice couple who we will be marrying in June, and I thought my new summer dress in yellow would do nicely. Of course, I had to make a matching bag, and although the varigated DMC pearl cotton I chose is a brighter yellow, it looks just fine. I couldn't decide on which of the four types of white beads I had chosen, so I used them all! The beads in the necklace are glass and some bleached mother-of-pearl.
