I recently purchased the book "Zulu Beaded Chain Techniques", by Diane Fitzgerald and I decided to do the Zulu Flowerette Chain found on page 18. This was a really fun bracelet to do. Normally, the colors for this type of work would be primary colored - very bright, but I decided to work it in amethyst and topaz tones, with matte and shiny grey as an accent color. I think it turned out quite nice.
I used a regular shank button for the closure. If you haven't made a trip to a fabric store - do!!! The button selections are really very good now, and will more than meet your needs in the way of artistic closures. I purchased wonderful shell and metal buttons and also glass with a pretty AB finish. The button I used is pretty plain and from my old stash, so don't judge it too harshly (grin).
I hope you like this beadwork, please let me know your thoughts by Signing My Guestbook or by sending me an e-mail.
